Su gran diferencia respecto a otras Pilot (como la Custom 74) es su Sistema de Carga por Pistón (Piston Filler). Olvídate de los cartuchos y los convertidores. Al girar la perilla trasera, el émbolo sube y baja dentro del cuerpo, permitiendo cargar directamente del tintero con una capacidad superior (1.2 ml, casi el doble que un cartucho estándar).

El diseño se completa con acabados en Rodiado (Plateado), que le dan un aspecto moderno y técnico ("silver trim"), alejándose del clásico dorado antiguo. Monta el fiable plumín de Oro macizo de 14K (Tamaño #5), bañado en rodio para mantener la estética plateada, conocido por su suavidad y fiabilidad absoluta.
